Agent: We will see Victor Valdes at a big team before Christmas

By

Former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes will join a top team before Christmas, according to his agent.

With reports in England suggesting that Liverpool might make a move for the 32-year-old, agent Gines Carvajal revealed that his client is ready to join a top team in the coming weeks.

"He can sign a contract at any time and I am convinced that we will see Valdes at a big team before Christmas," Carvajal told Cadena Sar.

A knee injury blocked a move to Monaco with Valdes deciding to take legal action against the French side over a possible breach of their pre-contract agreement.

"We have already said that we would present a complaint against AS Monaco, but I do not know how it will end," added Carvajal.

"Our lawyers have gotten involved and we have full confidence in them.

"His rehabilitation is going well, but we do not know when he will be fully recovered."
