Irked Arsenal fans unhappy at news that £12million star will move to North London

Arsenal fans have reacted with surprise at the news that AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen could become a Tottenham Hotspur player this summer.

Recent reports have claimed that the 21-year-old will join Mauricio Pochettino's side for a bargain fee of £12million with Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Milan also interested.

Many compared the youngster to former Arsenal legend Robin van Persie with one Arsenal fan urging the Gunners to hijack the move as he "looks like a very good player".

The Netherlands international confirmed last week that he will be waiting for a phone call this summer as he is determined to make a move during the transfer window.

"I want to make a step, that is clear," he told Fox Sports.

"But there is no white smoke just now.

"England? We will see. Maybe something will happen in the holidays. I will take my phone with me anyway."
