Done Deal: Arsenal to announce club-record signing of Thomas Lemar in the next two hours

By

Arsenal have launched a £92million bid for Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar that has been accepted by the French giants.

Reports in Italy have claimed that the Gunners have identified the youngster as the one to take over from Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean is all set to join rivals Manchester City for £60million.

Manager Arsene Wenger has made it clear all summer that Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will not leave the club.

But the Englishman has already joined Liverpool and the 28-year-old is set to move to Manchester.

Lemar, 21, scored 12 goals in 39 appearances last season at Monaco.

He was one of the key players for the French giants as they also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
