Deal Close: Manchester United have opened talks with La Liga giants to finalise midfielder transfer

By

Valencia are reportedly in talks with Manchester United over a loan deal for Andreas Pereira.

Express Sport has claimed that the 21-year-old is all set to be loaned out before the end of the month.

He enjoyed a very positive pre-season campaign with the Red Devils but securing a regular place in Jose Mourinho's squad is very difficult this season.

He spent last season on loan at Granada where he scored five goals.

In July, he made it clear that his objective is to impress manager Jose Mourinho in an attempt to enjoy more minutes on the pitch with the club.

"I am very happy that I am back and I can be part of this team," Pereira told MUTV.

"I will try to do my best to stay here, get an important role for the season, to help my team-mates and to impress the manager.

"It boosts me that the people here trust the young players. I am very happy for the young players and I want to be a part of this team as well.

"It [Granada] was a good experience, I learned a lot of things and hopefully I can use them now here back at United.

"Of course I have been thinking all about [United's matches], but I was focused when I was there to play well, to learn a lot, to improve so I can come back more ready to play and to help my team-mates over here."
