Confirmed: Chelsea have made an official bid to sign Bayern Munich international star

By

Chelsea have made an official bid to sign Bayern Munich defender Rafinha.

The German giants have rejected the bid but the two clubs are expected to meet later on today.

Manager Antonio Conte is eager to add more quality to his squad before the end of the summer transfer window.

And in the next few hours the Blues are expected to add at least two more players ahead of a long campaign in the English Premier League and Champions League.

The 31-year-old has struggled for regular first-team football last season.

But boss Carlo Ancelotti is eager to keep him at the club.

Chelsea will be determined to secure the services of the experienced Brazilian having failed to sign Romelu Lukaku, Danilo and Oxlade-Chamberlain.
