Jose Holebas in Italy for medical ahead of Roma transfer

By

New Roma signing Jose Holebas has arrived in the capital city of Italy and will undergo a medical at the Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli.

The 30-year-old is expected to sign the contract in the afternoon and will be at the Olympic Stadium for tonight's Serie A opener against Fiorentina.

In the offensive department, the Giallorossi are expected to sell striker Marco Borriello to Palermo as they join Milan, Juventus and Inter in the chase to sign midfielder Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Calciomercato.it, Roma have reached an agreement with the reigning French champions with the Italian club to pay £12m for the youngster.

And with other teams also ready to place offers for the 19-year-old, Roma director Walter Sabatini is determined to seal the move before the end of the day.
