Rafa Benitez delighted after reaching Europa League semi-finals

By

Napoli coach Rafa Benitez was full of praise for his players after reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League.

With Napoli still working hard to finish in the top three in the Serie A, the Europa League could be a secondary route to make it into next season's Champions League.

And they will be anxiously waiting for their next opponent ahead of today's draw.

"I'm happy to reach such an important objective, credit to the lads who did exceptionally well in both rounds [against Wolfsburg]," Benitez said.

"We were fantastic away from home and good today. The lads worked very hard and deserve to be in the semi-final. I'm also happy for the fans.

"The result from the first leg was key to making it through but today we still went out there with organisation and with the objective to win.

"Wolfsburg are strong, let's not forget this.

"There are now three high quality teams left in the competition but what is important is that we're there. For sure is that we want to reach the final and lift the Cup.

"We respect every opposition, aware of our value."
