Maurizio Sarri on victory against Palermo and the title race

By

Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri says his side had to be at their very best to take all three points against Chievo.

The Partenopei registered their fifth win of the month as their impressive unbeaten run continues.

But Sarri says the focus is on the next game against Palermo and not on the title race.

"It was a brave win, winning here will be difficult for every team," Sarri said.

"It was a very difficult game and we had to give our 100% to take all three points.

"Chievo is a well-organised team, they know how to close the space down and they are fast on the counter. We had to be at our very best today to beat them.

"[The title race?] That's a question you should ask to Roma, they ended second last season and are now top of the league. We ended fifth last season and struggled in the early part of this season.

"My focus is on [our next game against] Palermo.

"I know that anyone can produce a set of good results for a month but doing it for 3-4 months is hard."
