Napoli coach Rafa Benitez says his players' attitude in the second half was admirable but should be adopted from the first minute of the game.
The Partenopei again made defensive mistakes during the 2-2 draw against Empoli as they failed to take advantage of Juventus and Roma dropping points on Saturday.
"The team's behaviour in the second half is a positive thing but I'm not happy because I want this attitude from the first minute," Benitez said.
"I don't consider this a good result because a draw at home is never a positive result. But the team's reaction was a good one and we could have won the game against a strong team.
"Had [Jose] Callejon or [Jonathan] De Guzman scored the third we would be here talking about the character and heart of the team.
"This doesn't mean I'm satisfied because if on one side I liked the reaction, I didn't like at all the second part of the first half where we made a mistake when they scored.
"We have to score more when you consider the chances we create and clearly, concede less.
"We now look forward, we have the Europa League game coming up and on Thursday we want to win the group."
