Napoli coach Rafa Benitez was upbeat despite seeing his side go down 1-0 at Udinese in the Serie A on Sunday.
The Partenopei enjoyed most of the possession but were punished late in the game when Udinese's Danilo took full advantage of a Kalidou Koulibaly mistake to score the only goal of the game.
"We could and should have won the game," Benitez said after the defeat.
"But we were unlucky not to score. Rafael had very little work to do and this shows what type of game it was.
"We created chances, just as we did against Chievo, we hit the post and we were in control. I can't remember any clear-cut chances created by Udinese.
"[Rotation?] Inler was out with a high temperature so I had to make changes in midfield.
"Also it's not easy to play every three days so I had to use fresh players. But I repeat, we dominated until Udinese's goal, we had enough quality to win the game.
"We were too soft when they scored, we made a mistake.
"But all in all we lost a game we shouldn't have lost. This team is strong, there is depth in the squad, this is a Napoli team that should and could have beaten both Chievo and Udinese."
