Napoli boss Rafa Benitez rued Napoli's missed chances and says they created enough goal opportunities to beat Chievo on Sunday.
The Partenopei lost 1-0 at home against Eugenio Corini's men after striker Gonzalo Higuain missed a first-half penalty and Maxi Lopez kept his cool to give the visitors an early lead in the second half.
But Benitez said he was happy with the performance of the squad after the match, believing his side could have scored at least three goals.
"It wasn't the typical big team against small team type of game," Benitez told Mediaset Premium.
"We created 11 chances and had 33 shots on target, without taking in consideration the penalty against a team who had one shot on target and scored."
"We won our first away game and now lost the second at home, with the statistics I just mentioned, so I don't think there is need to make radical changes.
"We just have to be more clinical and more calm, when required.
"If we are inferior to Juventus and Roma? We know Napoli has to grow and today I'm happy with the support of the home crowd. Here football is more important than family for some.
"As for today, nobody can say we didn't deserve to win.
"I understand questions will be raised but would they have been the same had we scored three goals? I'll answer: no.
"I have nothing to say on how the lads played today, the difference is all about scoring or not scoring goals.
"We went out there with the right mentality, the same mentality that helped us win against Genoa in the last second of the game."
