Confirmed: Manchester United and Chelsea target joins Internazionale

Internazionale have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign centre-back Joao Miranda de Souza Filho, has revealed.

The Manchester United and Chelsea target has been identified by coach Roberto Mancini as the one to lead the Internazionale defensive department next season.

With Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone preferring Josema Gimenez and Diego Godin in his squad, the 30-year-old was forced to search for a new club with the Nerazzurri making a first offer of £9.5m on Monday.

The two clubs are expected to meet again on Thursday with the Italians ready to make a second offer of £10.8m.

With the player, Internazionale have already reached an agreement.
