Internazionale defender responds to rumours that he is set to join Chelsea

By

Internazionale defender Jeison Murillo says he is only focused on the upcoming Copa America Centenario and is not bothered by rumours linking him with a move to Chelsea or Stoke City.

The 23-year-old was one of the most impressive players in Roberto Mancini's defensive department this season and has also been linked with Everton and West Ham United.

But he says at the moment he is not thinking about the summer transfer window.

"We started the season well," Murillo told reporters.

"Our objective was to qualify for the Champions League but we failed to achieve it. We are bitterly disappointed but we have to look forward ahead of next season.

"A possible move to the Premier League? Rumours are normal during the off-season but at the moment I'm fully focused on the National team.

"Also, I'm flattered that [former Internazionale defender Ivan] Cordoba believes I should stay at Internazionale because he is a club legend and also a legend here in Colombia."
