Internazionale's £8m bid for Javier Hernandez rejected by Manchester United

By

Internazionale have made their first official approach to sign Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

According to reports in Italy, the Nerazzurri have offered £8m to sign the Mexican with the Red Devils set to reject the offer as they intend to sell the 27-year-old for no less than £10m.

Meanwhile, coach Roberto Mancini has confirmed that Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure was very close to joining Internazionale.

"Actually he was the one to tell me that he wanted a change," Mancini told La Stampa.

"I spent six months speaking with him and telling him what he would have found here at Internazionale.

"Then he met with [Manchester City] and they decided not to sell."
