Marcelo Bielsa coy over new signings

By

Olympique Marseille coach Marcelo Bielsa decided not to confirm rumours linking his side to midfielders Alexander Song and Benjamin Stambouli.

The French side are on the lookout for a midfielder with the Cameroon international heavily linked together with Montpellier's Benjamin Stambouli but Bielsa was coy over the rumours.

"In respect to the players you speak about I cannot confirm nor deny recent rumors," Bielsa said.

"I'm not the one who decides and I cannot speak publicly about it."

Strambouli was quoted as saying by Midi Libre that he is not considering a move to Marseille due to the position where he would be utilised with the Argentinean opting not to comment on the matter.

"Stambouli doesn't want to join because he would be used in defence? I don't comment on these things.

"If a player wants to join he has to speak with the club. It's not a manager's job to convince a player to sign."
