Jose Mourinho has held talks with Borussia Dortmund centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos about joining Manchester United this summer, according to Metro.
The Greece international has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks.
But it now seems that the Red Devils have joined the race.
With the Gunners not involved in next season's Champions League, the 29-year-old will probably prefer a move to Manchester in order to feature in Europe's most prestigious competition.
He already told his club that he doesn't want to sign a new contract with his current one expiring next year.
Sokratis has an estimated market value of £17million.
