Chelsea join Tottenham Hotspur in race to sign "one of the best Italian youngsters in the world"

Italian website has revealed that Chelsea have joined the race to sign Federico Chiesa.

The 20-year-old was one of the most impressive youngsters in this season's Serie A campaign.

In March he was called with the senior national team by then-coach Luigi Di Biagio and played against Argentina in a pre-season friendly.

Tottenham Hotspur and Internazionale are also interested in the player.

It is not the first time Chiesa has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge but with Antonio Conte set to leave the club it is unlikely the Blues will make a move to sign him.

He has a market transfer value of £50million.
