Roma captain Francesco Totti says the Giallorossi are ready to make their debut in the Champions League.
Rudi Garcia's side will face CSKA Moscow on Wednesday in what will be their return in the competition after a four-year absence.
"It's normal to face strong opposition when you're involve in this competition," Totti told reporters on Tuesday.
"There are four very strong teams but the rest are all of the same level.
"We will approach all games without any fear, hoping to qualify from the group stage."
The Italian knows what it means to play in the Champions League but prefers not to draw any comparisons with the Roma teams he's played for in the past.
"It's not easy to compare, I played alongside great players in different Roma teams, the Capello team, the Spalletti team and now the Garcia team.
"I hope we go far in the competition, my focus is on the present, I hope to do better than I did with Spalletti".
At the age of 37, Totti is still a key member of the team as he considers himself lucky to be involved in Europe's most prestigious competition.
"I consider myself lucky," added the captain.
"I believe in myself, I'm happy with all I've done, of what I'm doing, I hope to give more to this club.
"I'm getting older but I don't feel it. It's the truth, I'll be the first one to give way the day I'll no longer be able to play at this level."
