"Chelsea given clear route to sign him" - 40-goal striker ready to snub Real Madrid to join Blues

By

Chelsea's first major signing of the summer could be striker Robert Lewandowski, according to the Sun.

The Bayern Munich man scored 40 goals in 47 games for the German giants this season and is again one of the most wanted players of the summer transfer window.

The report claims that the player met with super-agent Pini Zahavi amid rumours that he is also a target for Real Madrid.

The Blues signed Alvaro Morata during last year's summer transfer window but the Spaniard failed to make a significant impact at Stamford Bridge.

He is linked with a possible return to Juventus which would leave Antonio Conte or whoever would replace him in desperate need of a new central striker.

Chelsea finished fifth in the English Premier League but ended the campaign in style after defeating Manchester United to win the F.A. Cup.
