"I'm heading to London" - 67-goal striker confirms he will join Arsenal for pre-season

By

Striker Lucas Perez is returning to Arsenal after his loan spell at Deportivo La Coruna came to an end.

The 29-year-old - who scored 67 goals in his career - has confirmed that he will return to London for pre-season as his future remains uncertain.

"I have to go back to England, to the club that own me right now," the striker is quoted as saying by Inside Futbol.

Meanwhile, agent Rodrigo Fernandez has confirmed that his client would be happy to leave the Gunners to embark on a new experience in the Italian Serie A with Lazio.

"Lazio asked for him last year, but nothing came of it," he told Lalaziosiamonoi.it.

"Lucas has always liked Lazio and the city of Rome, plus his great friend, Luis Alberto, plays for them.

"He still has two years left on his contract with Arsenal, so we need to talk to them first.

"As for Lucas, he likes the idea of playing for Lazio, but it's still too early to talk about it."
