Almost Done: Arsenal have an agreement in place with Serie A giants to sign attacking midfielder

Arsenal are ready to swoop for Sampdoria defensive midfielder Lucas Torreira, the Daily Star has claimed.

The player has a release clause of £21.9million in his contract.

The Serie A club have already signed Lokomotiv Zagreb's Lovro Majer as replacement as a clear indication that the 22-year-old will leave the club.

The Gunners will however face competition.

Borussia Dortmund and Napoli are both ready to make a move to secure the services of the midfielder.

But it seems that Arsenal have already an agreement in place with the player who is eager to embark on a new experience in the English Premier League.
