"Arsenal? We spoke with them" - Agent gives important update amid rumours Serie A defender will join Arsenal

By

The agent of Juventus defender Daniele Rugani has confirmed that he held talks with Arsenal "in the past".

The 23-year-old is one of the most impressive young defenders in the Italian Serie A.

And a number of top European clubs have already made a move to secure his services.

But agent Davide Torchia says the Bianconeri will not sell the player.

"Juventus have always considered him unsellable and have never considered selling him," he told TuttoJuve.

"The club are very satisfied, they have great respect for the lad and don't want to deprive themselves of his football qualities.

"Arsenal? In the past, some seasons ago, we spoke with them.

"At the moment there are no official contact with them."
