"A deal will happen this week" - Arsenal target to make English Premier League switch in £75million deal

Manchester City are closing in on a £75million deal for Arsenal target Riyad Mahrez with reports suggesting a move could be completed this week.

The Leicestershire Live has claimed that the 27-year-old is expected to sign for the Citizens before the end of the week.

It is not the first time the Algeria international has been linked with a move away from Leicester City.

He was very close to joining Arsenal during last summer's transfer window.

Ex-manager Arsene Wenger is an admirer of the attacking midfielder but the Gunners failed to secure his services.

Manchester City's Pep Guardiola is also a fan of the player and has asked his club to make an offer in the region of £75million.
