Chelsea to make move for former Manchester United target "once Maurizio Sarri is appointed as the club's boss"

By

Calciomercato.com has claimed that Premier League giants Chelsea will make a move for Lazio Felipe Anderson once Maurizio Sarri is appointed as the club's boss.

The Brazilian was very close to making a move to Manchester United a couple of seasons ago but the move broke down at the very last moment.

He enjoyed a very positive campaign with Lazio this season, helping the Biancocelesti to qualify for the Europa League.

According to the article, the Blues are ready to offer £35million to secure the services of the 25-year-old.

It is not known how a player who is desperate to play for the Red Devils would settle down at Stamford Bridge.

Last year, in fact, he again made it clear that his dream club is Manchester United.

"Two years ago, yes, [there was interest from Man Utd]," he told Sport TV.

"After my season that was very good in the second year, there has always been a lot of speculation.

"It ends up that the player begins to think a lot about it and the focus goes away a little.

"Every player dreams of playing for a team like United."
