Premier League manager confirms deal as Arsenal move closer to international striker

By

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has confirmed that Arsenal have made a bid for striker Jamie Vardy.

According to reports in England, the offer is reported to be in the region of £20million and has triggered the release clause in the player's contract.

The Englishman was one of the most impressive strikers this season as he scored 24 goals for the Foxes.

He is currently preparing to feature for England in the upcoming Euro 2016 Championship and would be a perfect signing according to Arsenal legend Ian Wright.

Ranieri's reply to the rumours, "It's all true", was published in Saturday's printed version of La Gazzetta dello Sport.
