Sporting director says Arsenal and Chelsea defender target will not be sold

By

Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli says no offers have been received for defender Faouzi Ghoulam.

The 24-year-old is a target for Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Chelsea according to reports but Giuntoli has rubbished the rumours as he declared that the player will not be sold by the club in the summer.

"Ghoulam will 100% stay at Napoli," Giuntoli told Radio Crc..

"He's part of the project and will not leave.

"Offers from Arsenal and Atletico Madrid? No.

"There is interest for the player, it's normal for such a good player to get requests but that's all.

"We would of course speak with the player if we receive an offer but [new coach Maurizio Sarri] saw him on video and he loved what he saw.

"Ghoulam is an important player and will be a key member in Sarri's squad next season."
