Alexis Sanchez implores Chilean team-mate to join him at Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Alexis Sanchez wants Chile's team-mate Eduardo Jesus Vargas Rojas to join the Gunners, says.

The 25-year-old Napoli striker joined the Partenopei in January 2012 for £8m but never managed to make an impact in the squad.

He was not taken in consideration by then coach Walter Mazzarri and was sent out on loan after Rafa Benitez took charge.

But he was one of the most impressive players in the Copa America this summer and could enjoy first-team football at Napoli under new coach Maurizio Sarri.
