Mihajlovic to replace Benitez, Maggio signs new contract

Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic will leave Sampdoria at the end of the season.

Club president Massimo Ferrero says he would be happy for Mihajlovic if he joins an important club like Napoli.

"Mihajlovic to meet Napoli on Tuesday? I'm happy for him," Ferrero told Radio Kiss Kiss.

"He is a very good coach and they took a very good decision if they opted for him although in all fairness I don't know anything about this.

"What I know is that my players have been destabilised since all these rumours started."

Meanwhile, defender Christian Maggio will sign a new contract with the club according to his agent Massimo Briaschi.

"An agreement has been reached for a renewal," Briaschi told Radio Crc.

"We will sign a new contract in the coming days. The new contract will expire in 2018."
