Arsenal and Chelsea set to lose out to Milan in £20m deal for youngster

By

Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli will play for Milan this season, according to chief executive Adriano Galliani.

The youngster was a target for Arsenal and Chelsea in England but will join the Rossoneri in a deal worth £20m.

"The deal for Romagnoli is 99.8 per cent done," Galliani was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The transfer was also confirmed by Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini.

"We have an agreement with AC Milan for Romagnoli," Sabatini told Italian reporters.

"The operation will be formalised on Monday. I greeted Romagnoli and I told him to make himself available for Milan."
