Arsenal lose out on another transfer target as Jackson Martinez joins Milan

By

As confirmed on Friday, Porto striker Jackson Martinez will play for Milan next season.

The 28-year-old was a target for Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool but will join the Rossoneri as confirmed by Porto's chairman.

"I've just learned that Jackson Martinez has chosen AC Milan," Jorge Nuno de Lima Pinto da Costa told Porto Canal.

"This is what he wants, I just want him to be happy. AC Milan will pay the £25m clause."

According to reports in Italy, the striker will sign a four-year contract with the former Serie A champions and will earn £2.9m per season.

He is the second striker linked to the Gunners who opted to join Milan after Zlatan Ibrahimovic agreed terms with the Rossoneri.
