Filippo Inzaghi on the Verona game and injured players

By

Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi confirmed midfielders Nigel de Jong and Riccardo Montolivo will not feature against Verona on Saturday.

The Italian is ruled out with a hamstring injury and will undergo a number of tests next week.

The Dutchman suffered a muscle injury and will be ruled out for at least ten days.

"Verona are good when on the ball and up front they have a dangerous player in Luca Toni," Inzaghi said on Friday.

"We have a squad capable of overcoming injury problems. We have two important players out injured, [Riccardo] Montolivo and [Nigel] De Jong.

"De Jong did not go through pre-season training whilst Montolivo came back early from injury because he wanted to help the squad.

"[Ignazio] Abate is fit and could be in the squad.

"But we have to focus on our game and injuries should not be an excuse."
