Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi says he will wait until the very end before deciding whether Alessio Cerci is fit to start against his former club Torino.
The 27-year-old was far from his very best in mid-week against Sassuolo and could start tomorrow's game on the bench.
"It's up to me to take it one step at a time," Inzaghi said.
"He didn't complete pre-season with Atletico and didn't play for three months. We have to be patient. His behaviour is excellent, I will have to decide if he's ready to be a regular tomorrow [against Torino] or on Tuesday [in the Italian Cup]."
Meanwhile, the 41-year-old confirmed key players are back in the squad ahead of the weekend game at the Stadio Olimpico.
"For tomorrow we have an almost-full squad, which is good to have when back-to-back games are coming up," the coach added.
"[Stephan] El Shaarawy suffered a knock. [Riccardo] Montolivo is to be assessed as well. [Nigel] De Jong, [Philippe] Mexes and [Pablo] Armero are back in the squad. I don't know if [Mattia] De Sciglio is ready to play.
"[Daniele] Bonera and [Marco] van Ginkel are still out."
Inzaghi was also quick to rubbish transfer rumours linking Roma striker Mattia Destro to Milan.
"I don't talk about other players, I don't talk about the transfer window," Inzaghi added.
"If you want I can talk about the Torino game, else we can end it [the press conference] here."
