Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi says his team has to look forward to the away game against Torino after the shock defeat at home against Sassuolo.
After improving towards the end of last year, the Rossoneri went back to square one with a below-par performance against Eusebio Di Francesco's side but Inzaghi says such setbacks are to expected this season.
"Paradoxically, the game looked easy in the first fifteen-twenty minutes," Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italy.
"We took the lead and could have added a second with [Stephan] El Shaarawy on the counter, it was three against one. Had we scored the second, things would have been different.
"Then we failed to produce the same form of late.
"For twenty minutes all players did well, after that it was more than just individual mistakes. When you lose at home you cannot blame individual players.
"Unfortunately these ups and downs are normal when a team is going through changes, we now have to look forward since we play again in three days time, analysing what went wrong after the 20th minute of this game so as to bounce back immediately."
Alessio Cerci started on the bench but made his debut for the Rossoneri in the second half and the Italian says the 27-year-old needs time to be back at his very best.
"He didn't play much and was idle for some time so we need to be patient with him.
"He did a number of nice things today but we cannot expect him to be our saviour."
