Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi says the four points against Napoli and Roma show that Milan can aim for the third spot in the Italian Serie A.
The Rossoneri registered a very important draw away from home on Saturday night against Roma and the Italian was delighted with the form his side showed in the second half of the game.
"I'm very happy, we dominated at the start of the second half, I hoped we could win," Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italy.
"This team makes me proud, I'm just sorry for Armero's red. Against Napoli and Roma we collected four points and this gives us confidence.
"We can achieve the third place with this spirit.
"When you coach Milan you have to be ambitious, I want to bring Milan back to where it belongs but time is required. We should not be carried away after tonight but we can go far with this spirit."
Despite making one big mistake late in the second half, goalkeeper Diego Lopez was the hero for Milan with a number of top class saves, much to the delight of the Italian manager.
"[Real Madrid coach Carlo] Ancelotti told me that he was a goalkeeper we could rely on," Inzaghi said.
"Carlo also told us to sign [Jeremy] Menez so we are grateful [for his advice]."
