Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi was delighted after his side's home win against Napoli on Sunday night.
The Rossoneri were almost always in control of the game and took full advantage of defensive mistakes in the Napoli side as they moved closer to a top three finish in the Serie A.
"I think we started doing really well from the game against Sampdoria, yet not getting the points we truly deserved," Inzaghi said.
"The spirit of the players who play is incredible, I'm happy for them, they worked incredibly hard tonight.
"When the name of [Jeremy] Menez came out [during the summer], I immediately called [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic and [Carlo] Ancelotti and they both said he is a great player, a nice lad, one to sign immediately.
"[Philippe] Mexes is the emblem of this Milan team, he deserves to be praised, he wasn't playing but he worked extremely hard [in training] and took advantage of his opportunities when he was involved.
"Rami is strong, I hope to have him back soon. Roma are next, on Saturday, we have nothing to lose so we will try to play a good game."
