Filippo Inzaghi: We deserved to win but Sampdoria is a strong team

By

Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi says his side deserved to take all three points from last evening's game against Sampdoria.

The Rossoneri shared the points with Sampdoria in a lively 2-2 draw with the Italian manager proud of the performance of his players.

"I'm proud of the lads," Inzaghi said after the draw.

"We deserved to win but Sampdoria is a strong team. The way Sampdoria and their players celebrated at the end of the game means that they understood how strong we are.

"In my opinion Bonera was the best on the pitch, we will miss him in the derby. He played a great game, just like Michael Essien.

"Honda had the flu for two days, I saw he was tired and after changing to the 4-4-2, I opted to add a striker.

"El Shaarawy? I hope he continues like this, he desperately wanted to score so I'm happy for him."
