Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi says his players are ready to forget last week's disappointing defeat against Palermo.
The Rossoneri failed to move up to third in the table after losing 2-0 against Giuseppe Iachini's side but have a fresh opportunity to make the top three as they visit impressive Sampdoria at the Marassi stadium.
"We were below our par against Palermo," Inzaghi said on Friday.
"I watched the game for a second time, the hunger was there but we struggled after conceding two quick goals. We wanted to win, we had three chances to take the lead and had 70% of possession.
"Then there was the own goal and the second goal killed us off.
"We know we have to improve and do well [against Sampdoria].
"They [Sampdoria] are strong and are quality. We can reach them in the table so we're ready for a big game. It's always nice to play at the Marassi, it will be an entertaining game.
"They also have a great coach, a friend, who is doing a top job."
Asked to give an update on injured players, Inzaghi said: "Muntari, Abate and Alex are out.
"Abate could be back for the derby [against Internazionale]. We hope to have Zapata available but he didn't train with the group [today].
"Honda had a sore throat yesterday but he's fit to start."
