Milan striker Fernando Torres was delighted after scoring his first goal for his new club.
The Spaniard produced a brilliant header after Empoli took a 2-0 lead in the first 21 minutes and praised the fighting spirit of the Rossoneri at the end of the match.
"I'm happy to have scored but I would barter it for the three points," the striker told reporters after the game.
"What is important for a striker is to see the team create chances, to score goals.
"We are bitterly disappointed as we leave Empoli but we did well to bounce back. They gave us no breathing space so I had to drop deep to help the team.
"I'm feeling better physically, still not 100% but available to play.
"It's easy to link up with the top players here at Milan, I'm now starting to understand the team, the opposition and the Italian Serie A."
