Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi says the defeat against Juventus will help the players improve.
The Rossoneri fought hard against the reigning Italian champions but were helpless in the 71st minute when Carlos Tevez made his way in the penalty area to give Juventus the lead.
"In the end I was upset because we believed we could match a very strong team," Inzaghi told Sky Sports Italy.
"I'm satisfied with how the team played, we tried to match Juventus and we had chances like Honda's header.
"We also reacted well after they scored but we now have to look forward at a tough away game at Empoli.
"This game has to teach us that we can grow and reach the same level as Juventus and Roma.
"[Jeremy] Menez had a small injury, we asked a lot from him and he gave us a lot.
"We have to work hard to be in the top places, we were there before tonight and hopefully we'll be back there with a win at Empoli."
