Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi says striker Stephan El Shaarawy will miss tomorrow's away game against Parma.
The Rossoneri face a tricky away game against Roberto Donadoni's men but Inzaghi is convinced that he has enough players to fill the void left by the Italy international.
"We will today assess his [El Shaarawy's] fitness level but it seems he's not fit," Inzaghi said during Saturday's press conference.
"I was hoping to have him on the bench but he will not be in the squad.
"It's a shame because I don't want to lose him although I have a number of players who can replace Stephan.
"All players are training hard, this is nice, I want to thank them for this.
"Alex will surely play in defence, I'm yet to decide who will play alongside him."
The manager is expected to include new signing Fernando Torres in the squad with the player set to make his long-awaited debut after joining from Chelsea.
"They are two complete different players, Mario wanted the ball in his feet but Fernando likes to attack the space," added the manager.
"I will evaluate my attacking options before every game, it also depends who we will be playing against.
"I told my players that substitutions are incredibly important."
