Milan midfielder Marco van Ginkel is ready to impress with the Rossoneri before returning to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea made it clear they didn't want the Rossoneri to have a right to buy the player at the end of the season with the player grateful for the decision.
"It's nice, but right now I'm focused on Milan," van Ginkel told Voetbal International.
"They never gave up, they kept calling, their interest was important to me.
"Many top players played for this club and they won a lot.
"I understand last season was disappointing and there will be no Champions League this year but Milan is still one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"As a midfielder I believe the Serie A fits my style.
"Milan play with one defensive midfielder and two who are focused on the attacking side of the game, with an eye for defence.
"My objective is to secure one of these two positions, it's a nice role."
