M'Baye Niang: The loan spell did me a lot of good

By

Milan winger M'Baye Niang believes he can be an asset to new manager Filippo Inzaghi.

The 19-year-old was loaned out to Montpellier during the January transfer window and is now ready to take advantage of the positive loan spell with the French side.

"The loan spell did me a lot of good," Niang told Milan Channel.

"I played a lot of games and know I'm back to do well.

"The club made it clear they count on me and this is nice, it's up to me to give my best to repay their faith.

"My position? I'm available for whatever position the manager wants me to play in.

"Objectives? I hope to keep improving, play more and score goals.

"We know our strength is the group, we have to be united and fight harder than the other teams."

Milan were impressive on their Serie A debut against Lazio but Niang believes the result should not come as a surprise.

"I'm not surprised we did so well against Lazio," added the youngster.

"We worked very hard over the last few months, we're more determined."
