Massimiliano Allegri: Fiorentina deserved to win

By

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri says Fiorentina deserved to win last night's game at the Juventus Stadium in the Italian Cup.

The Bianconeri suffered one of their rare defeats on home soil and Allegri admits reaching the final will not be easy when the two teams face in the second leg on April 7.

"We played against a very good Fiorentina side," Allegri told RAI Sport.

"Both teams did well in the first half, in the second we gave possession away cheaply and conceded another goal. We tried to equalise but they did well and deserved to win.

"There is still the second leg but it will not be easy.

"We will now focus on the championship, Monday's game [against Sassuolo] and when it comes we will think about the second leg against Fiorentina.

"The defeat will make sure we will be careful ahead of upcoming games. The championship is not over yet, there are many more games we have to win.

"The Champions League is a dream, we won the first game and we will soon think of the second leg."
