Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri says he's still positive despite disappointing results against Sassuolo and Olympiakos.
Questions were raised after the Champions League defeat in mid-week but the Italian insists the Bianconeri are still in a strong position to qualify from Group A of the competition.
"At the end of the day I would say the team is enjoying a number of good results," Allegri said on Saturday.
"True, in Athens we failed in the first half but we still managed to create 8-10 goal opportunities and we only conceded after making a mistake in midfield.
"Having said that and since I prefer to focus on the positives, the quality of the team is not cancelled out by the first half display in Athens.
"We can still qualify in the Champions League, we can incidentally still top the group.
"Obviously we have to reflect on what went wrong in Athens but we know that European games are completely different than those in the domestic league.
"As for the league, we played seven games, winning six and one draw. We always try to win but it's not always possible.
"You draw a game at Sassuolo where their goalkeeper was the best on the pitch, as it was the case in Athens. Then you win at Bergamo [against Atalanta] in a game where Buffon saves a penalty.
"So we could have drawn the game in Bergamo and won at Sassuolo.
"In the end no one expected us to lead after seven games, but we're there and I'm happy for this. The league is tough because Roma are chasing us."
Midfielder Andrea Pirlo has been disappointing since making his return from injury but Allegri is not concerned about the fitness level of the 35-year-old.
"Andrea [Pirlo]'s fitness level is good, he simply has to play games to find consistency.
"He clearly has to deliver the ball the way he knows, if he doesn't we struggle because he's a unique player.
"He will improve the more he plays."
