Massimiliano Allegri: The lads wanted the win and they achieved it

By

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri was delighted to enter the international break with no defeats in the Italian Serie A.

The Bianconeri battled past Roma to win 3-2 on Sunday afternoon and open a three-point gap at the top of the table.

"It was a football game and there are always the same ingredients in a football game," Allegri said after the win.

"You have clashes, fouls and reactions when the two top teams of the league face each other.

"And in-between there were a number of nice moves from both teams.

"We gave away possession in a number of occasions in the first half, we rushed things a little bit too much but we improved in the second.

"It's a very good win, the lads wanted it and they achieved it. Six wins in a row is a nice feeling, we can now take advantage of the international break.

"I didn't comment on the referee because I believe it wasn't easy tonight with three penalties.

"Important decisions have been taken at important times, players were a bit nervous but after such a game it's better and more right to comment on what the lads have done on the pitch.
