Massimiliano Allegri: Juventus can perform in Europe as well

By

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri says the Bianconeri can replicate in Europe the form shown in the domestic league.

Results on the European scene have been disappointing under former coach Antonio Conte but Allegri is determined to rectify the problem and lead Juventus to glory in the Champions League as well.

"We know the Champions League is a fascinating event," the coach told Sky Sports Italy.

"It's a top-level European competition, doing well is very important and that is why everyone knows how important tomorrow's game is.

"We have to start well, winning would help us approach the next games with a different mentality.

"As always I'm convinced our fans will support us and will be close to us.

"I don't agree Juventus are not up to the job when we play in Europe, there's quality in the side and we want to show this in Europe as well."

Juventus will today make their Champions League debut against Malmo and will next week travel to Madrid to face last season's finalists Atletico.
