Roberto Mancini still believes in top three finish

By

Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini says a top three finish as well as a comeback against Wolfsburg in the Europa League are both possible.

The Nerazzurri host Cesena on Sunday evening knowing that they have to improve their position in the table if they are to qualify for next season's Champions League.

"Nobody can be happy after such a result [in the Europa League]," Mancini said.

"But I'm convinced we can recover the deficit. However, the focus, right now, is on Cesena.

"As long as the points are there, we can reach the third place and let's not forget that those who are in front of us could drop points at any moment.

"Let's see where we'll be after four games. For now we have to focus on doing well, starting from tomorrow's game against Cesena.

"If we do well our position in the table will improve.

"[Gary] Medel and [Rodrigo] Palacio will be assessed because they are suffering from fatigue."

Asked about Manuel Pellegrini's comments on the future of Yaya Toure, Mancini said: "We are interested in the Ivorian.

"He is like a son to me, I don't think I said anything wrong."
