Roberto Mancini on the Cagliari game and the starting line-up

By

Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini says defender Andrea Ranocchia is facing a late fitness test ahead of tomorrow's away game against Cagliari.

The Nerazzurri improved their position in the table after wins against Palermo and Atalanta and will be eager to make it three in a row against Gianfranco Zola's side.

"Tomorrow it will be difficult, like all games," Mancini said.

"Cagliari is incredibly solid at home but we hope to win our third consecutive game [in the Serie A] and to improve defensively.

"We are assessing our players, we will decide tomorrow morning the condition of each and every element in the squad. Mateo [Kovacic] is a regular just like any other player in the squad.

"[Lukas Podolski] is improving, I hope he can score soon.

"[Andrea Ranocchia] suffered a knee injury but he will do his best to be in the starting line-up. [Danilo D'Ambrosio and Marco Andreolli] are fit and will be on the bench.

"Dodo could start."
