Coach Roberto Mancini says his players need to address Internazionale's lack of goals ahead of the game against Sassuolo.
The Nerazzurri failed to score against Torino last week and against Empoli earlier this month and the Italian says it's vital to find a way to unlock the opposition's defence.
"The players are improving, we just have to 'use our brain' to score goals," Mancini said.
"We have players who can change a game, I am convinced they will start doing it because they are quality."
Meanwhile, the 50-year-old revealed that he faces a number of injury problems in the defensive department.
"[Sassuolo] are dangerous, a young team and they give their best against top teams," Mancini said.
"They are doing well this season, with no pressure. [Coach Eusebio] Di Francesco is doing an amazing job.
"We have problems in defence, I hope to have [Andrea] Ranocchia back but with the full backs we have a problem.
Asked to give an update ahead of the last days of the transfer window, Mancini explained: "I followed the Brazilian [Rhodolfo] for a long time.
"But before focusing on the attacking department we have to do something in other areas [of the pitch]. We don't have enough men in central defence and in midfield.
"We need depth in the squad, we are short in [defence and midfield], not in attack.
"[Cristian Daniel Ledesma] is not an option, no.
"We didn't talk about [Antonio Cassano]. The problem is not about signing Cassano or [Mario] Balotelli. What is important is to find the right player who can help the squad.
"We might also take a risk hoping to add someone who would become an asset after a few months."
