Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini says there is still a lot work to be done for his squad to be where he wants it to be.
The Nerazzurri host Genoa in Sunday's early kick-off and the Italian says his players have to work hard if they are to take all three points against Gian Piero Gasperini's side.
"Genoa is a very dangerous team," Mancini said.
"It will be a difficult game so we have to work hard to beat them.
"We have to improve as a squad, trying to make less mistakes because when we made mistakes we conceded goals," Mancini said.
"There is depth in the squad, some players deserve to play, others less. What is important is to win games and for the players to give their best but this Internazionale team is still not close to what I have in mind."
Meanwhile, Mancini opted not to comment about reports suggesting that striker Daniel Osvaldo will be sold during the January transfer window.
"I don't want to talk about it," explained Mancini. "Sometimes people talk about issues they know nothing about."
